Zombie Apocalypse Background info.

The background of my zombie apocalypse is we are set right during the beginning of this hostile situation. Its as if you just woke up one day and all of a sudden there were zombies roaming this earth. The situation is set where you and your group of four friends must find some place to shelter and be able to survive for a while before making any rash choices and formulate a plan.
How the zombies in this apocalypse act with the world is they are just roaming the world searching for food (humans/ animals) and if an animal eats the flesh of a zombie they too become a zombie. You will be turned into a zombie by getting bite by one of them or drinking their blood or water if contaminated. You will not turn very quickly but you will have a fever then turn in merely hours after being infected of course dying first. The zombies will die if not feeding on flesh but this could take months. The zombies are slow moving creatures but deadly when close. How to kill the zombies is to sever the head, destroy the brain, or by severing the spinal cord.

The Ballad of Colton Harris-Moore by Bob Freil, the techniques i liked that he used.

The technique that Bob Friel uses in his essay that I would like to use is his way of going back and forth and tying everything together. How he starts off with action and then develops much of the essay to explain why this action was taken by him. Then including the chats of family and friends and even what the police think of Colt. I like all the information that he was able to get from the kids mother. Digging into his past that really helped define who Colt was and give the reader a better idea of why he was doing what he was doing. I also enjoyed his use of capitalization as if every time he used it he was introducing a new aspect into Colts life and what it meant to why he was there now. Also how he goes into detail of how people are supporting Colt even though the cops are not supporting him and what he means to this community. I also really enjoyed the way he structured this essay giving you the main points and not really beating around the bush with a bunch of details that had no point of being in there. He wanted to keep you informed and entertained. I also enjoyed his description of the little town that Colt came from because it really gives the reader an idea of how small and expensive the town is and how everyone knows everyone. These are some things I liked that he used and that I would like to use in my essay.
